Giveaway Day

It's giveaway day over at Sew Mama Sew and I've decided to join in the fun :)
I'm going to giveaway a replica of the Echo framed quilt that I made a little while ago. The winner will receive a small lap size quilt in a similar design to the one pictured here.
To enter for your chance to win please leave a comment telling me your favourite film for the Holidays. Just for the record, for me it's Miracle on 34th Street :)

That's it, no hoops to jump through other than that. The giveaway will close on Friday December 16th and a winner will be chosen by Mr Random Number Generator. I'm open to International entries. Please make sure I can contact you if you are the winner, so if you are a no-reply blogger leave your email address in your comment. Please excuse me if I don't manage to reply to all entry comments, I'll be busy sewing the quilt for the winner! ;) Good luck.

    My favorite right now is A Charlie Brown Christmas. I love different parts of it plus my kids are old enough now to get some of the humor and I love their innocent laughter when watching it.

    I do not know the name... A woman and a man meet .. he falls in love, but she does not want to give him her number. She writes the phone number in book. An he searches for this book for years... And short time before his wedding he finds it...I love this film.

    My favorite is Miracle on 34th Street. I have all 3 versions on dvds, the black & white version, the colorized version, and the new release with different people. I prefer the older version with Natalie Wood and Edward Gwenn as Santa.

    My favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story. But only once a year. And the Grinch animated version, too. And Charlie Brown and his little decrepit tree? Yup. And White Christmas. Sigh. I really love Christmas movies.

    I love this quilt! My fav is also Miracle on 34th Street although I started my grandchildren (ages 2 and 4) on a Charlie Brown Christmas.. you know, with the ugly tree?... so it will be "our" favorite for a while! :)

    What a gorgeous quilt! I LOVE Christmas movies (they just make me happy, haha) - Miracle on 34th street is great, and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is a riot! Elf always makes me laugh! But, my favorite, is called "The Christmas List" - it is a made for tv movie from years ago starring Mimi Rogers... most people have never heard of it, but it is my all time favorite! :)

    That's a good question...I'd say I look forward to Home Alone. Kind of an odd movie I know, but it just came on at Christmas time when I was younger and it brings back a lot of memories. Now for the sappy movie: It's a Wonderful Life. :-)

    As for movies at Christmas... well, I don't really like any actually holiday themed movies. But the last few years we've made a tradition of watching one or another of the three movies that made up Lord of the Rings. This year, though, I'm hoping to talk my family into watching Sherlock (the tv series) instead! It'll be a good lead in to The Hobbit whenever it comes out, as Benedict Cumberbatch (who plays Sherlock) is the voice of two characters in The Hobbit and Martin Freeman is playing Bilbo.

    Ok, I know it sounds rare, but it's "Alien". I was so impressed by this film the first time I saw it, that it was a tradition for me to see it every Christmas. Don't ask me why 'cause I still don't know.

    Gorgeous quilt!!!! For me it wouldn't be Christmas if we don't watch Mary Poppins or Gone with the Wind. I grew up in Spain and those were always the ones they played on Christmas day! Kind of Random since they aren't specifically Christmas!

    I love the animated How the Grinch Store Christmas. Jim Carrey's version is amazing too...but there is something about the animation that I love. And of course, A Christmas Story! (You'll shoot your eye out!) The hardware store in my town has a "leg lamp" like in the film & they have a lighting of it each year. too funny right? Thanks for the chance to win!!

    I love it's a Wonderful Life. We had a rule growing up that we had to wait for it to be broadcast on TV first, before watching it on tape. I can't wait for my son to be old enough to watch it, so I can rediscover it all again for the first time through his eyes :)
