Look what came through my door!

On Saturday morning the thud of the post coming through the door caused a stampede. Jess was waiting for CDs to arrive for our 'mini festival' and I was hoping for my Brit Quilt swap! We both lucked out! Look at the goodies that greeted me all the way from Lochcarron. Teresa (Lochside Quilter) sent me this gorgeous stained glass effect mini quilt, some chocolate, a tissue holder and some perle thread!!!

Teresa paid so much attention to detail; absolutely beautiful quilting and beading! This photo just about shows the quilting. Sorry I'm so rubbish at photos :(

This close-up gives you a much better idea! Check out the beading and hand embroidery!

I thought I'd take a photo of it outside too. It looks so much more like a stain glass window in an upright position :) Now I have the usual dilemma of where to display it permanently! For the time being it will be keeping me company in my sewing room :) Thank you Teresa for creating such a beautiful piece of art just for me!

  3. It reminds me of those painted Victorian glass sections in stained glass windows, the details and those lovely colours. Teresa has made you a wonderful work of art.
