ReplyDeleteWhen my little niece had just learned to use the toilet I took her into the cubicle with me when we were out for lunch. As she was chatting away about her new big girl pants, she then said "And Auntie Sarah don't you wear really big big girl pants?" - at which point I was aware that the lady in the next cubicle was desperately trying not to laugh out loud. It was so embarrassing to have to come out of that cubicle to wash my hands, but I thought I might as well go with it and the lady and I had a good old laugh at the washhand basins. Out of the mouths of babes .....
ReplyDeleteSomething clean to make you laugh. well, as you know and I will repeat it here, Nigel's Mum's prude little word for ladies parts when he was growing up was Nelly so your names always keep me smiling!

ReplyDelete. . . And I'm a follower (old, I guess, although not THAT old!). ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd for something to make you giggle . . . was watching second episode of Hell's Kitchen this morning with my husband, and Gordon Ramsey said that one of the contestants had made a hamburger that looked like "a joke turd that you would put under your granny's chair." My husband and I laughed and laughed as we imagined each of our grandmothers' reactions to such a thing! I'm still rofl thinking about one of my grandmas who would simply say something like, "Goodness!" in her soft southern accent. God bless her heart, I do lover her so. :-)

ReplyDeleteI woke up this morning and leaned over to see what my dog was doing. She was fast asleep with her body completely sprawled out and had somehow managed to leave only her toes resting on her bed (the rest was hanging off her bed on the floor). It was quite the site to behold :)
ReplyDeleteHappy bloggy birthday!

ReplyDeleteSomething funny...ok, here goes nothing! When we were younger me and my brother used to call stotties 'snotties'. One morning my mam went to the bakers in the village and asked the lady behind the counter for...you guessed it...a snotty. Cue an embarrassed and annoyed mum coming through the front door ;O) Not even half as funny as your other funnies but it still makes me smile (but not Mam!).
ReplyDeleteHappy b-day to you!

I was at a birthday party with my 5 and 2 year old over the weekend. It was at an inflatable gym/bounce house place. Well the kids convinced me to crawl up one of the slides and go down with them - no big deal right? WRONG! So a climb the bounce house ramp (mind you I have a broken toe and this hurt - alot) sit down at the top and watch the kids go down the slide. The little bumper at the bottom stops them from going off the end of the slide and they jump off. I swing my legs over, give myself a little push and go flying down the slide. I'm going so fast when I get to the bottom my feet go over the bumper which then acts as a ramp to launch me off the slide. I land bum first on a play mat (thankfully) but come to find out all the other adults were watching. After we all finished laughing I swore off the inflatable slide :)
