Today our blog is one!

As promised, to celebrate our grand old age of one we're having a giveaway! This year has positively flown by and it's been so lovely to 'meet' so many lovely people around here. Yvonne and I have umm-ed and ahh-ed over the best way forward for this giveaway and have decided to offer 3 prizes! Three winners will be drawn by the random number generator on Saturday 30th July. So what's up for grabs?

The first winner will get to choose one item from this mosaic which I will custom make to their taste (colour-wise).
The second winner will get this fabulous Sherbet Pips hexagon cushion! This is exceptionally special as it has been hand-made by Yvonne on her sick-bed!! The hand-stitching is so tiny and neat..well you'll see if you win!
Here's a shot of the rear so you see the whole gorgeousness!
The third and final winner will receive these yummy fabrics! That's 3 fat quarters of Hope Valley by Denyse Schmidt along with a mini strip roll of fabrics by Tina Givens.
Here's a shot of the Tina Givens fabrics so you know what you could be getting :)
So now for the details of how to win:
1. Anyone can enter, even if you aren't a follower but want a chance to win that's fine just leave a comment.
2. If you're a follower old or new say so for an extra chance to win!
3. For a final chance to win tell us something to make us giggle...anything as long as you keep it clean-ish (Lynne!!)

Please make sure I can get hold of you. If I can't contact you and you're a winner I will have to re-draw and that would be a shame! The giveaway will close at 11am (BST) on Saturday 30th July.

  7. When my little niece had just learned to use the toilet I took her into the cubicle with me when we were out for lunch. As she was chatting away about her new big girl pants, she then said "And Auntie Sarah don't you wear really big big girl pants?" - at which point I was aware that the lady in the next cubicle was desperately trying not to laugh out loud. It was so embarrassing to have to come out of that cubicle to wash my hands, but I thought I might as well go with it and the lady and I had a good old laugh at the washhand basins. Out of the mouths of babes .....

  19. And for something to make you giggle . . . was watching second episode of Hell's Kitchen this morning with my husband, and Gordon Ramsey said that one of the contestants had made a hamburger that looked like "a joke turd that you would put under your granny's chair." My husband and I laughed and laughed as we imagined each of our grandmothers' reactions to such a thing! I'm still rofl thinking about one of my grandmas who would simply say something like, "Goodness!" in her soft southern accent. God bless her heart, I do lover her so. :-)

  48. I woke up this morning and leaned over to see what my dog was doing. She was fast asleep with her body completely sprawled out and had somehow managed to leave only her toes resting on her bed (the rest was hanging off her bed on the floor). It was quite the site to behold :)

  50. Something funny...ok, here goes nothing! When we were younger me and my brother used to call stotties 'snotties'. One morning my mam went to the bakers in the village and asked the lady behind the counter for...you guessed it...a snotty. Cue an embarrassed and annoyed mum coming through the front door ;O) Not even half as funny as your other funnies but it still makes me smile (but not Mam!).

  53. I was at a birthday party with my 5 and 2 year old over the weekend. It was at an inflatable gym/bounce house place. Well the kids convinced me to crawl up one of the slides and go down with them - no big deal right? WRONG! So a climb the bounce house ramp (mind you I have a broken toe and this hurt - alot) sit down at the top and watch the kids go down the slide. The little bumper at the bottom stops them from going off the end of the slide and they jump off. I swing my legs over, give myself a little push and go flying down the slide. I'm going so fast when I get to the bottom my feet go over the bumper which then acts as a ramp to launch me off the slide. I land bum first on a play mat (thankfully) but come to find out all the other adults were watching. After we all finished laughing I swore off the inflatable slide :)
